Monday•Friday; 7:30 am•5:30 pm

$25•30/hour depending on experience

About the
Family:
We are a loving, active family in Minnetonka looking for an experienced, reliable, and compassionate full-time nanny to join our team!
We have three wonderful children:
6.5-year-old son 4.5-year-old daughter 1.5-year-old son (Dairy allergy) Our oldest son is a special needs child who requires a caregiver who understands how to approach, support, and connect with unique learners. While we are more than happy to provide specific training, a foundational understanding and comfort level with special needs care is essential.
Position Overview:
In this role, you will help guide our morning routine, getting our oldest ready and onto the school bus, while caring for our younger two children at home during the day. Your afternoon will involve welcoming our oldest son home, managing after-school routines, and handling light household support to keep our home running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Childcare & Development:
Morning & Afternoon Routines:
Help our oldest get ready for school and onto the bus; greet him upon his return.
Transportation:
Drive our 4.5-year-old to and from pre-kindergarten classes. (
Note:
Transporting our oldest to his speech and occupational therapy sessions in downtown Excelsior on Thursdays from 4:00 PM•5:00 PM is a major plus!)
Enrichment:
Plan engaging, age-appropriate activities and developmental play for the younger children.
Special Needs Support:
Apply patient, structured limits and supportive techniques tailored to our son's needs.
Safety & Health:
Manage daily hygiene routines, bathing, and strictly accommodate our youngest child's dairy allergy.
Household Support & Meal Prep:
Children's Care:
Prepare daily meals and snacks (keeping allergy safety in mind) and assist with children's laundry and tidying up toys.
Family Dinners:
Prepare family dinners 2-3 nights a week, when possible.
Light Housekeeping:
Maintain daily tidiness including washing dishes, sweeping, and vacuuming.
Errands & Shopping:
Run occasional small family errands and handle grocery shopping as needed.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience:
Proven professional nanny or childcare experience, with a demonstrated understanding of special needs care.
Traits:
Punctual, reliable, firm yet loving with boundary-setting, and someone who genuinely delights in spending time with children.
Requirements:
Valid driver's license, a clean driving record, reliable transportation, and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
