Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists in implementing developmentally appropriate activities within established guidelines. Contributes ideas, creativity, and feedback to strengthen program quality. Nurtures children through purposeful programming dedicated to building achievement and belonging. Supervises children, program environments, and activities while following all YMCA policies and licensing regulations. Safely transitions children to and from their Branson Public Schools Pre-K classrooms. Works collaboratively with Branson Public Schools staff to support smooth daily transitions and positive experiences for children. Cultivates positive relationships and maintains effective communication with children, families, school personnel, and YMCA staff. Engages families and helps connect them to the YMCA community. Maintains clean, organized, and safe program spaces. Maintains confidentiality of children, families, and staff. Demonstrates initiative by identifying program needs and supporting teammates. Participates in professional development opportunities. Attends family engagement events, staff meetings, trainings, and YMCA activities. Ensures YMCA policies, licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and procedures are followed at all times. Maintains accurate attendance, incident reports, behavior documentation, and required records. Ensures zero tolerance for abuse and actively participates in the protection of youth. Performs all other duties as assigned.
