Job Description
A warm and welcoming family in Chapel Hill is seeking an experienced, nurturing nanny to care for their infant son, who will be approximately three months old at the start of the position. The family is flexible with an August through early September start date and hopes to find a long-term nanny who will become a valued part of their household for years to come.
The ideal candidate is genuinely passionate about infant care and enjoys creating a loving, engaging environment where a child can thrive. They are looking for someone warm, patient, reliable, and self-directed, someone who naturally anticipates what needs to be done and takes initiative while maintaining open, professional communication. The family would love a nanny who enjoys spending time outdoors, taking neighborhood walks, visiting local parks, and eventually exploring age-appropriate outings as their son grows. Daily responsibilities will primarily focus on providing attentive, developmentally appropriate care for the family's infant, including maintaining his daily routine, engaging in interactive play, and supporting his growth through nurturing care. During nap times, the family would love assistance with child-related household tasks such as the baby's laundry, washing bottles, loading the dishwasher, keeping the kitchen tidy, and helping maintain organized play areas Both moms have demanding careers, with one parent working from home and the other working a rotating healthcare schedule. They are looking for a nanny who is comfortable working in a home where parents may occasionally be present and who can confidently manage the day while remaining flexible and adaptable.
The family shares their home with two small rescue dogs, so applicants should be comfortable around dogs and enjoy having pets in the home.
