Monday-Thursday Hours:
3:00 PM-7:30 PM, with occasional evenings until approximately 9:00
PM Compensation:
$30-$35 per hour

September 8, 2026 A private family in New Rochelle, NY, is seeking a dependable and nurturing Part-Time Nanny / Childcare Specialist to care for two energetic boys during the school year. The ideal candidate is trustworthy, patient, compassionate, and confident managing busy after-school routines. This is a long-term school-year position running approximately September through June, with the possibility of additional hours in August for an interested candidate.
Main Responsibilities:
Pick up the children from school Drive them to and from after-school activities Prepare snacks and simple dinners Help the children stay on track with homework and evening routines Make sure the children shower and are prepared for the next day Wash dishes used by the children and clean lunchboxes Perform very light tidying related to the children Keep children's belongings and activity items organized Provide attentive, calm, and compassionate supervision Stay later on certain evenings, occasionally until approximately 9:00
PM Qualifications & Required Qualities:
Previous childcare or nanny experience Trustworthy, dependable, and responsible Patient, nurturing, and compassionate Comfortable caring for two high-energy boys Able to manage after-school schedules and multiple activities Comfortable driving children Valid driver's license and clean driving record Comfortable preparing simple meals and snacks Flexible with occasional later evenings Strong professional references Legally authorized to work in the
United States The Ideal Candidate:
The family is seeking someone interested in building a long-term relationship and ideally remaining with them for several years. The position is primarily needed during the school year, from September through June, with optional additional hours available in August.
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour Application Question(s): Please describe your experience managing after-school routines for multiple children, including school pickup, driving to activities, homework, and evening preparation. Tell us about a time you cared for high-energy children. How did you keep them engaged, safe, and on schedule while remaining patient and calm? The schedule may occasionally extend until approximately 9:00 PM. How do you handle changing schedules or later evenings while maintaining consistency and reliability? This role includes preparing snacks or simple dinners, cleaning up after the children, and organizing lunchboxes and belongings. How do you balance childcare with these household responsibilities?
