Job Description

FULL-TIME
Nanny needed for 2 kids in SoHo! Overview A family in SoHo is looking for a new full-time nanny to fulfill a unique schedule! Dad and his new wife currently care for their two children on a strict custody schedule. The schedule follows an A/B structure.
Schedule A:
Monday and Tuesday:
7 AM to 8 PM.
Wednesday:
7 AM to 8:00 AM (with one of the two nights potentially until 10 PM, as needed)
Schedule B:
Friday 3 PM to 8 PM.
Saturday/Sunday:
7:30 AM to 8:30 PM Sat/Sun This means one week, you'll work in the first part of the week and the second week, you'll do a weekend schedule - then you start all over again! Each week is less than 40 hours/week typically, but they'll still guarantee you 40 hours. In return they ask for some flexibility with later evenings, as needed, when you're working. The kids are 8 and 5 years old and a lot of fun! The family has a house in the Hamptons in the summer, so there is travel required with the capacity to adjust the schedule and live-in on a more ROTA style schedule. This is TBD and will be discussed directly during interviews. They're looking to get started soon, so apply today! The Ideal Candidate for this Job The ideal nanny has worked with school age children before and brings 5 to 8 years minimum of full-time nannying experience to the table. Excellent organization skills, prior experience working in homes where children are in school all day (i.e. knowledge of how to "self start" during the day, completing and finding tasks that keep the house running smoothly). Dad's new wife works from home and is in out and out, so a team player attitude is a must! Somebody who has experience with personal assisting or family assistant tasks is a plus, as these will be part of the job.
Schedule Schedule A:
Monday and Tuesday:
7 AM to 8 PM.
Wednesday:
7 AM to 8:00 AM (Monday or Tuesday potentially until 10 PM, as needed)
Schedule B:
Friday 3 PM to 8 PM.
Saturday/Sunday:
7:30 AM to 8:30 PM Sat/Sun The family will guarantee 40 hours/week About the Children Boy, 8: Delightful. In third grade, he really likes soccer and building. He's a thoughtful kid. Likes to read. Good listener. Girl, 5: A lot of fun. She loves ballet. Dresses and dressing up! She loves being a princess. She's a ton of fun. Shell do seven things at once, versus her brother who does one thing at a time! Responsibilities The schedule consists of the dropping them off at school during the week, returning to the apartment, and helping with personal assistant and family assistant tasks. This may involve meal prep, kids laundry, grocery shopping, tidying up common areas and more. No deep cleaning as there is a cleaning person. You'll also run errands and other tasks. Then it's school pick-up, afterschool activities and dinner! During the weekend, you'll tag team with Dad who is very hands on. You may take one child to activities while he spends time with the other. Additional Information Please note the atypical nature of the schedule and make sure that works for you. Summers in the Hamptons, where the position becomes more of a ROTA live-in style, is required but will be discussed with Dad for more details. You'll need prior multi year experience as a full-time nanny, with three professional references that we can call. In-Person CPR required (or willingness to obtain before the start date). This position is paid on the books, no exceptions! I9 compliance will be checked.
