Job Description
Overview A warm, busy family of four in Chelsea, New York City, is seeking an experienced, reliable, and highly educated Nanny/Family Assistant to join their household. The family has two children, ages 3 and 10, and is open to either a part-time nanny arrangement or a full-time Nanny/Family Assistant role for the right candidate. The family is happy to add hours and responsibilities for someone interested in a broader family assistant role. The family is flexible and will consider either part-time or full-time arrangements. The schedule will primarily involve weekday school pickups and afternoon coverage during the school year, with additional hours expected during school holidays and breaks. For the right candidate, the family is open to expanding the position into a more comprehensive Family Assistant role with additional hours and responsibilities. Responsibilities School pickup on weekdays Safely transporting children to and from extracurricular activities and appointments Homework supervision and academic support Engaging children in age-appropriate activities and providing attentive, nurturing care Helping maintain a smooth and organized afternoon/evening routine Additional family assistant responsibilities may be added for a candidate interested in more hours Qualifications The family is looking for someone who is: Experienced working with children, ideally across different age groups Reliable, responsible, organized, and proactive Warm, engaging, and genuinely enjoys working with children Comfortable supporting both a preschool-aged child and a school-aged child Flexible and adaptable in a busy household Comfortable with some family travel, including domestic and international travel; a plus, not a requirement Able to provide a high level of professionalism, discretion, and consistency Requirements MUST be able to work afternoon hours Salary and Benefits $40-$50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications Health stipend Potential for additional hours Domestic and international travel with the family Long-term opportunity with a professional and active family
