Monday-Friday 7:00am-9:00am (Before School Program) 2:45pm-6:00pm (After School Program) Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age (Required) 1+ year of childcare experience in a professional setting (Preferred) US work authorization (Required) First Aid (Preferred) CPR (Preferred) Provide proof of vaccination status (Required)
Description:
The Friedberg JCC is seeking passionate, hardworking, and outgoing counselors to work in our amazing elementary before school/after school programs. As a counselor, you will be responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships with children ages 4-11, all while providing an enrichment-based experience throughout the session. Duties include but are not limited to: Ensuring the health and safety of all children are being well supervised during program in accordance with the JCC guidelines/procedures and
COVID-19
prevention Develop and implement weekly lesson plans that act jointly with themes given to nurture the knowledge and growth of each child Work collaboratively on a strong team that is mission focused and goal oriented Assist and support with activities lead by others Frequent communication with supervisor Attend bi-weekly/monthly paid staff meetings and trainings
Desired Competencies:
Classroom/Behavior Management Skills Demonstrated ability to plan and lead activities for school age children Proven attention to detail, time management and problem solving skills Commitment to the highest professional and ethical standard Possess cultural sensitivity and awareness of children and community Employees will be required to bend, crouch, jog, move and meet the needs of school age children. Employees will be required to wear a mask at the discretion of school and district
