Job Description
Full-Time Nanny — Yonkers, NY Live-In or Live-Out | Monday-Friday | $28-$34/hour DOE A warm and loving family in Yonkers, NY is seeking an experienced, nurturing full-time nanny to care for their 2½-year-old and 3-month-old baby . This is a long-term position for someone who genuinely enjoys engaging with young children and creating enriching, developmentally appropriate experiences throughout the day. The family is open to either a live-in or live-out nanny . The hours are long, and the family will be flexible where and when they can, including in the structure of the position. Schedule Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-6:00 PM About the Children The family has two young children: A 2½-year-old , who attends a nearby preschool from approximately 9:00 AM-12:00 PM A 3-month-old newborn The nanny will be responsible for driving the older child to and from preschool and caring for the baby during that time. Responsibilities The primary focus of this position is providing warm, attentive, and engaging care for both children.
Responsibilities include:
Providing attentive care for the newborn, including feeding, diapering, soothing, naps, and age-appropriate developmental activities Helping establish and maintain healthy routines for the baby Preparing the toddler for preschool and driving them to and from school Engaging both children in stimulating, age-appropriate activities Reading regularly to the children Taking the children on outings to places such as the library, parks, playgrounds, and other child-friendly activities Supporting the toddler's developing independence and skills Creating enriching moments throughout the day rather than simply supervising Preparing simple meals and snacks for the children Keeping children's belongings, play areas, and bedrooms organized When the older child is at preschool and the baby is sleeping, the nanny will also be expected to assist with light housekeeping and general household upkeep . When the youngest child begins school in about 2 years, the position would become more of a hybrid Nanny/House Manager position. Because the goal of the family is for this to be a long term position and relationship, they are hoping the person who they hire now will be able and willing to transition as the family's needs change. The Ideal Candidate This family would love someone who is: Warm, loving, patient, and dependable Naturally engaging and enjoys interacting with children Knowledgeable about infant and toddler development Comfortable caring for a young infant Proactive about finding activities and getting the children out of the house Someone who enjoys reading, playing, teaching, and creating enriching experiences Organized and willing to pitch in around the home when childcare responsibilities allow Looking for a stable, long-term position with a family Requirements 3+ years of professional childcare experience Newborn/infant experience required Strong professional childcare references Must be a confident driver with a valid driver's license Comfortable driving the toddler to and from preschool Dependable and interested in a long-term commitment Compensation & Benefits $27-$32/hour, depending on experience The family also offers: Paid vacation Paid holidays Long-term job stability Option to live in or live out This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced nanny who wants to become an important part of a warm family's life and who truly enjoys helping young children learn, grow, and thrive.Pay:
