Lighthouse Ministries is an urban youth outreach center in Canton, Ohio, driven by the belief that everyone is intentionally gifted by God and called to be a blessing to the world around them. We do this through our After-School Programs, Summer Initiatives, Youth Ministry Clubs, Scholarship Program, and our Cultivate (arts) Programming. Lighthouse Ministries is looking to hire for an after-school & Summer Staff position, a direct service position that works with children, providing guidance and support as their students walk through the daily schedule. This includes free play, snacks, discussion, academics, and enrichment times. The position requires considerable independent judgment and decision-making as you work to support students within the program's structure. A current school-age endorsement in child care, an associate's or bachelor's degree with a concentration in education, or a field related to working with children is preferred. This job will require you to create a professional profile in the Ohio Professional Registry (OPR). Candidates with a current OCCRRA profile are preferred.

3:30 pm to 6:15 pm each day Job Description As a staff member in the After-School Program, you will be responsible for providing guidance to the students in the After-School Program, grades 1-6. The applicant must be a person of good character who is competent in working as part of a team and working with children in small groups and one-on-one. This position requires a good bit of flexibility, supporting children in different environments and working with the younger students during specific periods of the day.
