Hyde Park area About the Position First time parents are seeking a dependable, engaging nanny for their child, who will be approximately a year when the position begins. She is an active, curious baby who loves books, playtime, and exploring her surroundings and is quickly becoming more mobile. The family is looking for someone who will encourage her development through age-appropriate play, reading, outdoor time, and outings. Mom works from home in a separate area of the house and is patient-facing throughout the day, so the nanny should be comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the baby's routine. Responsibilities Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate infant care Follow the baby's feeding, nap, and wake-window rhythms Read, play, and plan activities that encourage development Take the baby on walks, outings, and age-appropriate activities Handle routine child-related tasks and keep play/feeding areas tidy Document the baby's day, including feeds, naps, and other helpful patterns Support developmental transitions as she grows, including eventual early potty-learning efforts Ideal Candidate The family is open to a newer nanny with strong potential and would especially value someone who has: Infant experience and ideally some toddler experience Familiarity with baby-led weaning Current CPR/First Aid certification A dependable, attentive, and flexible personality A second language, which would be a wonderful bonus but is not required The nanny must be comfortable driving for outings and may use either their own vehicle or the family's vehicle. The family follows a flexible but routine-oriented parenting style, taking cues from their child while maintaining predictable rhythms throughout the day. They are looking for a nanny who can naturally work within that approach while encouraging independence and development.

Additional Requirements:

The home is shoe-free and pet-free. The family prefers candidates who receive an annual flu vaccine. A pre-employment drug screening, including screening for marijuana, will be required.
