A warm, busy family is seeking a proactive, upbeat Family Assistant/Nanny to help keep afternoons running smoothly. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys staying organized, supporting school-aged children, and becoming an important part of a family's daily routine. The family has four children, including three school-aged children and one preschooler who attends full-time daycare. Childcare responsibilities will focus primarily on the school-aged children, while Mom manages the preschooler's transportation. Schedule Monday-Friday, approximately 2:00/2:30 PM-6:30 PM Earlier start (around 12:00 PM) available for candidates interested in additional Family Assistant responsibilities Additional hours available during school breaks and throughout the summer Some flexibility with occasional schedule adjustments is appreciated ResponsibilitiesChildcare School pick-ups and transportation to after-school activities using the family's vehicle Ensure children have snacks before sports and extracurricular activities Homework support and encouragement with daily reading and instrument practice Help children stay organized and prepared for their busy schedules Foster independence while providing guidance and encouragement Occasional transport to appointments when needed Family Assistant Duties Children's laundry Organize children's bedrooms and shared spaces Load and unload the dishwasher Vacuum and general tidying to keep the home running smoothly Light errands, including picking up household essentials as needed Let the family dog outside as needed Ideal Candidate The family is looking for someone who is: Warm, positive, and naturally upbeat Organized and proactive without being overly strict or controlling Comfortable managing multiple schedules and keeping children on track Experienced working with families in a long-term role Able to build relationships with older children while providing structure and accountability Dependable, collaborative, and willing to jump in wherever needed The children attend Catholic school and are involved in a variety of activities including sports, music, dance, Scouts, and other extracurriculars. The ideal candidate enjoys helping busy families stay organized and making afternoons feel calm and manageable.
