CHILDCARE DIRECTOR
Ty's Creative Minds Learning Academy LLC Memphis, Tennessee Ty's Creative Minds Learning Academy LLC is seeking a qualified, dependable, and passionate Child Care Director to join our team. We are looking for an individual who is ready to step into a leadership role and begin working with us.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must:- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have previous professional experience working with children in a classroom setting
- Have current CPR & First Aid certification
- Be able to successfully pass a required background check
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Be dependable, responsible, and professional
- Have experience working with children in a classroom environment
- Be prepared to provide required training documentation and certificates
REQUIRED DIRECTOR TRAINING
—MUST ALREADY BE COMPLETED
Applicants must have already completed the applicable Director Training listed below. Candidates must be prepared to submit their training completion certificates for verification. New Agency Directors- TDHS Prelicensing Orientation — 4 Hours
- THS New Director Training — 4 Hours
- Small Business Academy — 8 Hours

- Developing Quality Business Practices
- Leadership Practices
- Creating & Maintaining Professional Practices Existing Agency Directors

TRAINING CERTIFICATES REQUIRED
We are looking for an individual(s) who has already completed the required training and is ready to submit their training completion certificates. Candidates should be ready to begin working with us and prepared to provide documentation verifying completion of the required training.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Child Care Director will:- Oversee the daily operations of the childcare center
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to teachers and staff
- Ensure classrooms provide a safe, clean, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment
- Monitor classroom quality and staff performance
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and staff development
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Help ensure compliance with Tennessee childcare licensing requirements
- Communicate professionally with parents and families
- Address parent and staff concerns appropriately
- Assist with enrollment and maintaining positive family relationships
- Monitor attendance, schedules, staffing, and classroom ratios
- Participate in budgeting and responsible financial management
- Handle difficult conversations and workplace concerns professionally
- Promote professionalism, teamwork, accountability, and high-quality childcare
