We are looking for a caring, dependable nanny to join our family for approximately 15-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday , through at least the end of May, with the hope that the position could continue through the summer and beyond. The position is available now. The typical schedule is 3:30 p.m. to 7:00/7:30 p.m., Monday-Friday , although we can be somewhat flexible. This schedule could work especially well for a college student who has morning classes, someone taking online classes, or anyone looking for a consistent afternoon/evening position. Another bonus — there is usually very little traffic during these hours! We have two children, a 12-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy . Our son has a rare genetic disorder and special needs, but he is quite functional, social, and truly a joy to be around. We are looking for someone who is honest, caring, trustworthy, dependable, neat, and detail-oriented . Previous childcare or babysitting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities would include:

Picking up our son from his small private school at 3:30, which is only a few minutes from our home Spending time reading with the kids and helping with basic math/homework Preparing simple dinners for the kids and cleaning up afterward Washing and folding the kids' laundry Emptying the dishwasher Helping our son with showering Assisting him with simple physical therapy/stretching exercises Because school pickup is part of the position, you must have a reliable car and dependable transportation . You must also be a non-smoker . There may occasionally be opportunities for additional weekend hours. Our nannies have also traveled with us on family vacations in the past, so there could be optional travel opportunities as well. Travel is not required , so please still apply if traveling would not work for you. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States . A background check will be required. We live in Steiner Ranch in northwest Austin, near 620 and Quinlan Park Road . Pay is $20-$22 per hour, depending on experience.
