The schedule is Saturday & Sunday, 6:30 AM-4:30 PM , every other weekend ( 20 hours/week ). Our ideal nanny is someone who truly loves working with children, is dependable and consistent, and can comfortably become part of the natural flow of a very hands-on family. About the Family This family has three children (10,8, 6) and two very involved parents who genuinely enjoy being present and engaged in their children's lives. One of their children, the youngest, almost 7, has significant special needs and benefits from consistent 1:1 support and attention. This child will be the focus of the nannies attention with very limited support needed for the older children. With three children, two parents, and one child requiring a higher level of individualized support, having an additional trusted adult makes it possible for everyone to get the attention and support they need. This is a collaborative position . You will often work alongside the parents and may spend significant time with the family together, while also having plenty of one-on-one time with the children. You also will coordinate with the weekday nanny/house manager, another weekend nanny, and therapists including ABA, OT, and Speech. The family values someone who is excited to work along such an amazing and cultivated team. We are looking for someone who understands that being a great nanny isn't always about being "on" every second. You should be able to read the room and adjust naturally — knowing when to step in and be fully engaged, when to take the lead, and when to step back and give the parents space to enjoy a moment with their children. The family is busy, active, and hands-on, so flexibility and the ability to go with the flow without losing sight of the children's needs are incredibly important. About the child Our top priority is finding someone who will treat our child with respect, dignity, patience, and genuine kindness . We are looking for a nanny who: Is comfortable caring for a child with significant developmental and communication differences Understands that challenging moments are communication, not "bad behavior" Can set appropriate boundaries while remaining warm, patient, and loving Uses play, connection, and encouragement to build trust Is attentive to his individual needs, abilities, and cues Is willing to learn his routines, communication methods, and preferences Sees him first as a child who deserves to be included, respected, and understood Experience with special needs or ABA is highly preferred , but we are ultimately looking for the right person and a willingness to learn. What We're Looking For Our top priority is reliability and consistency . We need someone who takes their commitment seriously and understands how important dependable childcare is to a family with a child who requires 1:1 support.
