The center Director's responsibility is to effectively operate and manage all aspects of the center, including human resources, customer relations, marketing, educational programs, financial responsibility, and physical facility. The center director will also promote a positive image of the program within the community and establish strong working relationships with the state licensing authorities, local and county health departments, and other regulatory agencies. Responsibilities Ensures that all staff know and comply with Texas Minimum Standards. Ensures the center complies with all federal, state, and local regulations. Implements health and safety standards, and ensures that appropriate supervision of children and safe transportation practices are utilized daily. Builds a good working relationship with authorities. Completes all required paperwork and record-keeping on a timely basis and maintains all documentation in an organized up-to-date manner. This includes but is not limited to all program files such as student files, employee, vehicle, driver, health and safety, licensing, training, inspections, fire drills, tornado drills, lockdown drills, insurance, product recalls, visitor logs, incident reports, medication and allergy logs, etc. Knows the evacuation procedures and has emergency contacts/numbers updated at all times. Keeps the Executive director (and center owner) apprised on time of all critical areas of responsibilities including serious student accidents, employee issues, and significant events. Develops and maintains a strong working relationship with all state licensing authorities, vendors, and community contacts. May need to transport children to and from school and field trip venue. (14 passenger bus) Conducts Center Director observations on a quarterly basis. Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that supports children's social-emotional growth Proven experience in school or early childhood education administration with a focus on leadership roles. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Experience in supervising school staff and facilitating professional development initiatives. Familiarity with educational compliance standards and regulatory requirements for childcare centers. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with children, families, staff, and community partners. Instructional leadership capabilities to guide curriculum implementation and staff performance improvement. Ability to foster a positive team environment while maintaining high standards of care and education. Customer Service Understands and adheres to the Ivy Kids' Parent Handbook Develops and actively maintains positive communication with parents. Recognizes parent concerns, evaluates the course of action, and responds appropriately to the needs of parents. Communicates parent concerns appropriately to teachers to address classroom issues. Communicates center-based parent concerns to the entire staff to prevent reoccurrence. Communicates parent concerns to the Executive director along with an action plan to address the concerns. Responsible for keeping de-enrolled children to a minimum; determines reasons for loss of enrollment and addresses problem areas contributing to loss of enrollment. Reports the number of de-enrolled children to the Executive director with reasons for disenrollment and plans to address the issues that caused the de-enrollment. Operations Responds and follow up on all enrollment inquiries. Gives prospective customers tours of the program and detailed information about the program's education philosophy and classroom teachers. Ensures that other program staff are also trained on marketing the program in the director's absence. Ensures Intellikid is kept current and follows up on potential families regarding enrollment. Is aware of enrollments/disenrollments with reason at the center weekly. Ensures all teachers are following brand standards and completing CSRs/transitions properly daily. Ensure hourly ratio checks are conducted regularly. Ensure the center is QA ready at all times. Maybe required to come in early or stay late as per center's needs. Educational Program Ensures that the curriculum is appropriately implemented throughout the program and meets state requirements for each age group. Works to ensure that the staff is effectively trained on curriculum and established early childhood principles Works to get the center TRS - 4 stars accreditation and maintains both the TRS and Cognia accreditation standards. Ensures Conscious Discipline techniques are utilized by the staff and develops training to address the needs. Works with the management team on student transitions and appropriate class placements. Financial Responsibility Is familiar with and able to create a program budget to ensure all resources are effectively managed and within budgetary constraints. Works with the Executive Director to establish a yearly budget including supplies replenishment. Creates staff schedules that are efficient and lead to labor costs that remain within allocated budgets. Ensures food orders are submitted every week and remain within the allocated budgets. Ensures that computer-related record-keeping requirements are met, including tracking tuition receipts, Makes sure all tuition is collected on a timely basis. Ensures our tuition policies are followed and bad debts do not accumulate. Takes appropriate action with non-paying accounts Maintains appropriate receipts on all credit card and center expenses Maintains accurate financial accounting of program operations and protects the program's monetary assets. Ensures program supplies and equipment are inventoried and appropriately maintained. Human Resources Understands and adheres to the Ivy Kids' Personnel Policies. Recruits, selects and properly trains qualified staff. Develops staff through program growth and guidance plans. Maintains professional working relationships with program staff. Onboards and trains staff as outlined by the Ivy Kids Learning Journey. Provides coaching and mentoring in the classroom/on the job to ensure success for the new hire. Anticipates staffing needs, prepares and posts weekly staffing schedules, and modifies them according to daily student counts in each classroom. Ensures that state and local regulations are met at all times. Counsels staff regarding performance issues via employee handbook and policy and produces corrective action. Keeps high staff morale and staff appreciation Evaluates staff yearly with a written performance review, and at other times as needed; recommends merit raises for staff with the program guidelines. Marketing Works to develop marketing strategies to increase capacity utilization, utilizes community-based marketing techniques and other appropriate marketing methods. Follows the annual marketing plan and participants in community marketing programs and executes center-based events Creates and maintains a social media calendar and posts center events, classroom activities, field trips, marketing videos, etc. on social media regularly. Maybe required to work after hours or weekends for center events, trainings, etc. Physical Facility Maintains building, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe environment that meets program and licensing safety standards Maintains a clean safe and healthy environment through scheduled cleanings and frequent safety checks Coordinates equipment and facility repairs, and ensures timely completion of repairs to minimize any risk of injury to others Ensure bus maintenance, and inspections are conducted regularly. Ensure all repairs are completed when needed.
Qualifications:
Must meet or exceed state licensing requirements for age, education, and experience. A Bachelor's or Associates degree in Early childhood Education is preferred. Must have a food manager certification Must be qualified to drive the company vehicles when needed. Must be willing and able to work in any classroom as needed to meet program needs. Must be able to repeatedly bend, stoop and run; must repeatedly lift and carry children up to 50 pounds depending on the age and weight of the child. Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with children and parents.
Must maintain at least 30 hours of training each year.

$50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
