Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a Child Care Director, where you will lead and inspire a dedicated staff to create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for young children. In this dynamic role, you will oversee daily operations of the childcare center, ensure compliance with licensing standards, and foster strong relationships with families. Your leadership will help shape positive early learning experiences that promote childhood development and social-emotional growth. Responsibilities Manage daily center operations, ensuring a smooth and efficient environment for children, staff, and families Lead and supervise teaching staff, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations to uphold high-quality childcare standards Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education best practices Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, safety protocols, and mandated reporting laws Foster positive communication with parents and guardians, addressing concerns and sharing updates on children's progress Oversee classroom management and behavior guidance strategies to support a respectful and inclusive atmosphere Maintain accurate records related to child attendance, health, safety incidents, and staff documentation Promote ongoing professional development for staff in areas such as child development instruction, classroom management, and special education needs Qualifications Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings; classroom experience required Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and early learning standards Certified in first aid and CPR; pediatric first aid certification preferred Familiarity with special education practices and experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration Experience managing a childcare or daycare center is preferred; leadership or supervisory experience is essential Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently Familiarity with Procare system Join us in creating a joyful space where children thrive through nurturing care and innovative learning!
