Job Description

Trinity Parish seeks a visionary and collaborative rector to lead our urban, multicultural, and multiracial congregation in Wilmington, Delaware.

We are two locations, four weekend worship services, and two languages united in faith, liturgy, and service. Our historic mother church, Old Swedes, anchors our spiritual heritage, while Trinity Church serves as our primary location with three Sunday services and a thriving Spanish-language community.

What We Seek:

a presider who leads liturgy in a warm and pastoral manner with engaging sermons that connect scripture to contemporary issues and our lives. We seek a leader who will:

Incorporate Latino participation in parish leadership and ministries

Champion compassionate social justice and community outreach

Develop programs for children, young people, and young families

Foster collaboration between our Anglo and Latino congregations

Support stewardship of Old Swedes and partnerships with the National Parks Service

The Wilmington area offers a wealth of activities and historic sites, making it a vibrant place to live and worship. Major urban hubs, beautiful beaches, and picturesque mountains are all within a two-hour drive.
