Job Description

Glad Tidings Church is seeking a Lead Pastor to provide spiritual and visionary leadership for our Hartford City, Indiana, campus. As part of a growing network of life-giving churches headquartered in Muncie, Indiana, our mission is to develop biblically sound believers who reflect Christ s character. Glad Tidings currently operates five campuses throughout East Central Indiana. The Hartford City Lead Pastor will lead a congregation of approximately 175 attendees. Responsibilities include preaching and teaching, developing leaders, providing pastoral care, strengthening outreach within the Hartford City community, and implementing ministry plans that promote spiritual health and growth. Although Glad Tidings is a multi-site network, live weekly preaching is expected at every campus The Lead Pastor will partner closely with the network senior leadership team and collaborate with network staff to provide effective, meaningful ministry to both the church and the surrounding community. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capacity, high emotional intelligence, and a proven ability to build, lead, and multiply effective teams of volunteers. This role requires someone who can thrive within the network culture, embrace a collaborative team mindset, and bring a future-focused commitment to ministry. Previous pastoral experience in a church of similar size and ministry context is preferred. A bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university is required; a seminary degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
