Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Pastoral & Administration -support pastor in various administrative tasks; assist scheduling and coordinating parishioner visits; attend weekly staff meetings. Parish Event Coordination & Ministry Support -assist in planning/coordinating parish events: Fish Fry, Vacation Bible School, Donut Sundays, Spring Clean-Up Day. Parishioner Engagement & Outreach -Welcome new parishioners, send emails, follow-up phone calls and update parishioner spreadsheet. Visit and check in on homebound parishioners, communicate needs to relevant ministries. Provide support for Senior group. Communication & Record Keeping -Maintain ParishSoft records, proofread and provide feedback on parish communications before publication; oversee maintenance of sacramental record. Ministry & Council Involvement- Oversee Safe Environment training, that all volunteers meet standards. Ministry point person, Provide support to the Liturgy Team, Stewardship & Development Committee, and Building Beauty Together initiative as needed. Assist with retreat planning and ministry support. Attend Parish Council Meetings as a representative of the Parish Staff. The Pastoral Associate plays a vital role in supporting the spiritual, administrative, and community-building functions of the parish. This role involves coordinating pastoral projects, engaging with parishioners and ensuring the smooth execution of ongoing ministries and events. The successful candidate needs to be a parishioner of St. Anthony de Padua. This part-time position requires flexibility, strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to project management. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of initiative and a passion for serving the parish community.
