Job Description
Position Overview The Worship Leader, in consultation with the Senior Pastor, will oversee and lead Sunday morning music and A/V needs for the service. Responsibilities Work with the Senior Pastor to plan and coordinate excellent worship services that glorify God Learn, utilize, and keep up-to-date Planning Center ServicesEnsure that song slides and liturgy elements are correctly entered and formatted in ProclaimLead and develop current worship team and recruit new worship volunteersBecome a member of Vine Street Baptist Church and participate in regular church rhythms Recruit servers for and preparers of Lord's Supper as often as it occurs Character and Competencies Fulfills the character and qualifications of a deacon as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:8-13Possesses a genuine love for the local church, and a desire to invest in Vine Street Baptist Church as a church familyRequisite musical giftingDemonstrated leadership capabilities - previous worship leadership experience preferred or in school pursuing related degreeAbility to organize and lead volunteersGeneral competency in Google Workspace applications, Microsoft Word and ExcelPossession of own personal computer for use in ministry and car for transportation to ministry-related activitiesComfortability with secondary theological differences in a congregation
