Job Description

This internship is a program designed to encourage and equip men who aspire to serve in vocational ministry. This 12-week program provides first-hand experience, feedback, and instruction to a man who is pursuing pastoral ministry as God's calling on his life.
REQUIREMENTS
▢ Professed faith in Christ and been baptized▢ Member in good standing of local church▢ Aspire to serve Christ in pastoral ministry▢ Cultivating character qualities seen 1 Tim 3 and Titus 1▢ Strong work ethic and teachable spirit▢ Agree with Baptist Faith & Message (2000) & Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy Those interested in applying must provide a written letter explaining interest in the program and a recommendation letter (preferably from a pastor or minister). Letters must be submitted to mark@vvbc.church no later than Monday, September 14, 2026. The internship is scheduled to begin in late September.
RESPONSIBILITIES
▢ Work 25 hours/wk (including 10-15 on site, including Sundays & Wednesdays)▢ Meet weekly with pastoral staff, having completed all assigned reading prior▢ Plan and prepare studies/sermons▢ Attend various church meetings (e.g., Members Meeting, Church Council, Deacons, etc.)▢ Lead at least one Bible Study and preach one sermon during this program▢ Fulfill other related duties as assigned by the pastor
COMPENSATION
▢ $3,000 ($250/wk for 12 weeks) flat salary (reported on W-2)▢ no healthcare, retirement, or any other additional benefits
