Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious CDL Boom Truck Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for safely operating a boom truck to deliver drywall and other building materials to job sites, as well as loading, unloading, and properly securing materials. The ideal candidate has commercial driving experience, is comfortable operating a boom truck, and understands the importance of providing professional and reliable service to customers and job sites. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a CDL boom truck for delivery of drywall and other building materials. Load, unload, and properly secure drywall, lumber, and other construction materials. Operate boom equipment to safely place materials at designated locations on job sites. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any vehicle or equipment issues. Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies. Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and obtain required customer signatures. Safely navigate residential and commercial job sites, including tight spaces and uneven terrain. Assist warehouse and delivery personnel with material handling as needed. Maintain a clean and organized truck and ensure equipment is properly maintained. Provide courteous and professional customer service at each delivery. Perform other duties related to delivery and warehouse operations as needed. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A or Class B driver's license , as required for the position. Clean and acceptable driving record. Previous boom truck or material delivery experience preferred. Experience with construction or building materials is a plus. Ability to safely operate a boom/crane or willingness to complete required training. Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, load, and unload building materials. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong attention to safety and detail. Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic. Ability to work independently while also being a team player. Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding position. The successful candidate must be able to: Lift and carry heavy building materials. Load and unload drywall and other construction products. Climb in and out of the truck and access job sites safely. Stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday. Safely perform material handling duties with and without equipment.
Pay:
$17.00 - $31.00 per hour
