Minister of Music Historic St. James AME Church New Orleans, LA Job Details Contract | Internship $26,000 - $33,800 a year 18 hours ago Qualifications Choral worship music conducting Organ playing Religious music performance experience Teaching music Spiritual activities Managing music teams Full Job Description Historic St. James AME Church in New Orleans is seeking a spiritual and gifted Minister of Music to lead our musical ministry and inspire our congregation through music. Purpose To oversee the spiritual and technical growth of the music department, aligning worship with the Pastor's vision and Methodist traditions. Key Responsibilities Direct worship music, various choirs, and the Praise Team. Instruct diverse repertoires, including hymns and contemporary gospel. Facilitate regular rehearsals and collaborate with the Pastor and Choir President. Growing the music ministry by encouraging and enlisting others to be a part of it. Lead music during weekly Sunday services (9:45 AM - 12:30 PM). Twice monthly midweek service., day TBD. provide music for occasional church service such as funerals and revivals Qualifications & Skills Candidates must be energetic, experienced in conducting choirs/praise teams, and possess strong communication skills. Proficiency in organ or keyboard is highly preferred.
Pay:
$26,000.00 - $33,800.00 per year
