Job Description

Bedico Baptist Church in Ponchatoula, Louisiana is currently searching our next Youth Minister. Ponchatoula, Louisiana is located on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain roughly 45 minutes North of New Orleans. The Bedico community is rapidly growing so we are looking for someone who is willing to grow with us and the community. Bedico Baptist Church is a well established church with a long history in the community. Our general expectations for the future youth minister are listed below. Required Qualifications A. Demonstrates a strong, growing relationship with Jesus Christ, modeling Christian values in daily life, and showing a deep commitment to the spiritual development of youth aged children. B. Must possess a high school diploma. C. Must be in agreement with the Church's Covenant and Bylaws. D. Must posses strong leadership and team building skills. E. Must be able to pass a background check. Preferred Qualifications A. Married.

years of Youth Ministry experience. C. Seminary trained or willing to go to seminary. Duties and Responsibilities A. Prepare and teach weekly Bible study specifically for youth on Sunday mornings. B. Ensure curriculum is biblically sound, age-appropriate, and engaging. C. Coordinate youth activities. D. Plan and lead regular youth group meetings, special events, retreats, and mission projects. E. Provide opportunities for discipleship, fellowship, and outreach. F. Actively engage with students in the church and community. G. Provide spiritual mentorship and support in coordination with parents and church leadership. H. Recruit, train, and manage adult volunteers to assist in youth ministry. I. Ensure all youth workers comply with church safety and conduct policies. J. Coordinate with the Church Leadership Council to align youth activities in line with the vision of the church. K. Submit a quarterly report to the Church Leadership Council. L. Be willing to assist with other duties as assigned joyfully and without complaining.
