The Annapolis Church of Christ in Arnold, MD, is a congregation of 110-120 members and we are shepherded by three elders. Our desire is to be scripturally based in our teaching and doctrinally sound in our service to the Lord. Our outreach has blessed us with an increasingly diverse and active membership. Visitors have described us as open and welcoming. We enjoy numerous fellowship activities and quickly involve new members in the work. We have been physically blessed and are financially stable. Salary would be competitive based on experience and includes a home on the property. Our congregation has enjoyed steady growth over the last seven years and we want to build on that success. We need a preacher who can help us achieve this goal. Our building is located just north of Annapolis, near the Chesapeake Bay thirty miles east of Washington, DC and about the same distance south of Baltimore. This area has a very diverse and transient population, which brings with it unique opportunities and challenges for evangelism. We have a long-standing, effective outreach program with the U.S. Naval Academy to which we expect our minister to take an active role in supporting. We need a preacher who will help us expand our outreach efforts and aid us in strengthening our community evangelism.Duties & Description:
We are searching for a pulpit minister that has at least 3-5 years of preaching experience, has graduated from a recognized brotherhood preaching school or a degree in Bible/Ministry from a Christian University, and is a married man with an exemplary home life. He must be a faithful, baptized believer and a member of the Church of Christ.- Must hold a sound, conservative understanding of Scripture, preaching the full counsel of God without reservation.
- Must align with our congregation's historic practices regarding New Testament worship (including a cappella congregational singing, weekly observance of the Lord's Supper, and the biblical plan of salvation), as well as have a heart for the objectives of the Midshipmen Ministry for the U.S. Naval Academy.
- Is aligned with "Our Core Beliefs" as found on our church website. The expected start date is June, 2027 but is flexible. The job is open until filled.
