This opportunity is designed for individuals seeking advanced professional and spiritual formation through supervised clinical ministry in a leading academic medical center. As a CPE Resident, you will participate in an accredited Clinical Pastoral Education program under the supervision of ACPE certified faculty. Residents provide spiritual care, support, and education to patients, families, and staff while developing the knowledge, skills, and self-awareness essential for effective chaplaincy and pastoral care practice. Responsibilities Complete required CPE activities in accordance with ACPE Standards Provide supervised spiritual care to patients, families, and staff Maintain communication with the Department of Spiritual Care and Education and interdisciplinary teams Uphold institutional policies related to HIPAA, safety, infection control, and risk management Support departmental and organizational goals Serve as a liaison with clergy and faith communities as appropriate Participate in quality improvement efforts related to spiritual care services Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or ordination/commission by a recognized faith community, as determined by ACPE Master's degree in divinity or a related field Completion of at least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education Knowledge of spiritual care standards and practices Why Join Johns Hopkins At Johns Hopkins Hospital, you will learn and serve in an environment grounded in excellence, compassion, collaboration, and respect.
