Job Description

Director of Worship (Part-Time 20 hr/wk) Vicksburg Campus The Bridge Church is seeking a passionate and spiritually mature Director of Worship to lead and develop the worship ministry at our Vicksburg Campus. This individual will create Christ-centered worship experiences, develop worship leaders and volunteers, and help people encounter God through authentic, Scripture-rooted worship. Position Summary The Director of Worship is responsible for leading and coordinating the gathered worship experiences of the congregation. This includes planning services, directing creative processes, developing worship teams, and ensuring excellence across all worship environments. The ideal candidate will shape worship experiences that are Christ-centered, Scripture-rooted, and musically excellent, helping the church respond to God's presence with authenticity and clarity. This role also serves as a key leader in identifying, equipping, and developing worship leaders and team members. Personal Qualifications The successful candidate will be a humble follower of Jesus Christ with strong emotional maturity, spiritual resilience, and a deep commitment to the local church. Professional excellence in this role flows from a vibrant relationship with Christ and a desire to honor His presence through worship.
Candidates should demonstrate:
A strong grasp of biblical theology and a clear understanding of worship rooted in Scripture Proficiency in guitar, keys, or another primary worship-leading instrument The ability to plan and lead cohesive, Spirit-led worship services Confidence in leading creative planning meetings and casting vision Strong relational and communication skills A passion for developing others and building a healthy worship culture Key Responsibilities Worship Leadership Lead worship regularly during weekend services and special gatherings Plan and coordinate worship experiences that align with the vision and mission of The Bridge Church Introduce new songs thoughtfully and pastorally Ensure thorough preparation and rehearsal for all worship services Team Development Recruit, train, and equip worship team members and leaders Identify and develop emerging leaders within the worship ministry Provide ongoing coaching, encouragement, and feedback to worship leaders and volunteers Foster a culture of spiritual growth, excellence, and teamwork Service Planning & Collaboration Lead creative worship planning meetings Work closely with the Campus Pastor and Worship Directors across campuses to align worship gatherings with the church-wide vision and strategy Participate in staff meetings and sermon rehearsals to ensure alignment between worship and teaching Collaborate with Production and Tech teams to create unified, distraction-free worship environments Administration Maintain accurate and organized service plans within Planning Center Services Ensure songs, charts, recordings, and resources are prepared and accessible Coordinate worship support resources and ministry partnerships as needed • What We're Looking For We are seeking someone who loves Jesus, values teamwork, leads with humility, and is passionate about helping others encounter God through worship.
