3 weeks vacation Reports to:Lead Pastor Job Description:
Plan, coordinate, participates and oversee all aspects of the children's ministry programing, including Nursery, Sunday School, Children's Church, VBS, and Wednesday night programming. Promote and coordinate summer camp (Camp Lebonan, Dayton Oaks or Prairie River) for children Recruit, train, equip, support and organize volunteers to assist with children's ministry programs. Oversee and use age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with the church's mission and values. Create a safe and welcoming environment for children to learn and grow in their faith. Communicate regularly with parents to share updates, upcoming events, and opportunities for involvement. Collaborate with other church staff and leaders to integrate children's ministry with the overall church community. Participate in staff meetings on Wednesdays. Participate in prayer meetings, Sunday School and worship on Sunday mornings. Regular Sunday hours 8:30- 12:30 Summertime Sunday hours 9:30
- 12:30 Wednesday office hours 9:00am
- 3:00pm Wednesday Night Regular Schedule 5:30-7
Qualifications:
- A personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to help children grow in their faith.
- Previous experience working with children in a ministry or educational setting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with volunteers, staff, and church leadership.
- Understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods.
