POSITION SUMMARY

To serve as the Youth and Assistant Worship Director/Pastor for Christ Wesleyan Church (CWC) fulfilling responsibilities to serve middle and high school students and their families as well our worship team in these designated areas:

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Serves as visionary leader for youth ministry (middle and high school students) discipleship and leadership. 2. Leads the planning and implementation of a weekly experience for students that gathers to be in God's Word, in community and serving our surrounding area. 3. Recruits and develops volunteer team who will help implement the mission and vision. 4. Develops community engagement strategy that affirms current partnerships and builds new ones with schools, parachurches and non-profits. 5. Coordinates participation in church, district and denominational camps, retreats and conferences. 6. Assists worship director in discipleship plan through worship for those who serve as singers, musicians, artists etc. for Sunday morning and prayer gatherings. Helps to recruits and develop worship team and musicians Co-leads weekly rehearsals Assistants with Sunday worship (Currently 1 service at 10:30 am) through music and creative elements. Coordinates worship component during monthly prayer (4th Saturdays at 9 am in person) Available for Teaching or Trainings 12. Embodies the vision of CWC and executes its mission, vision & values in our context. 13. Participates in some CWC regular functions: monthly prayer gatherings, weekly prayer huddles, bi-monthly meetings with Lead Pastor, bi-monthly meetings with the CWC team and 1-2 retreats each year. 14. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

-Bachelor's degree preferred -Min. 5 yrs. of experience in church leadership, youth/worship and/or a non-profit context.

Salary Compensation:

$22,000 per year (16-20 hrs. a week, some weeknights and weekends)

Pay:

$22,000.00 per year
