La Grange Christian Church is seeking a pastor who is passionate about Jesus Christ, loves people, faithfully proclaims the Word of God, and desires to serve alongside a congregation committed to growing in faith and reaching our community. We welcome inquiries from qualified pastors from a variety of Christian denominations, not only the Disciples of Christ. We are particularly interested in candidates whose theology and ministry align with our congregation s commitment to biblical authority, sound doctrine, and Christ-centered ministry. We are looking for a spiritual leader who will not only preach from the pulpit, but will become a trusted shepherd, teacher, counselor, mentor, and friend to our congregation. Our desire is to welcome a pastor who will build meaningful relationships with our members, invest in our children and youth, encourage our ministries, and help us share the Gospel with those around us. Shepherd and care for people by building genuine relationships with individuals and families and being present during both joyful and difficult seasons of life. Lead spiritually by encouraging prayer, discipleship, evangelism, worship, and service throughout the congregation. Invest in the next generation by developing meaningful relationships with our children and youth and encouraging their faith. Reach beyond our walls by helping our congregation share the Gospel and serve our local community. Work as a team with our elders, deacons, committees, and congregation while bringing thoughtful leadership and a servant's heart. Model Christian character through a life of integrity, humility, compassion, prayer, and devotion to Christ. Qualifications We are seeking a pastor who: Has a genuine and growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Is committed to the authority of Scripture and faithful biblical preaching. Demonstrates spiritual maturity, integrity, humility, and compassion. Has a heart for people, evangelism, and community ministry. Is able to work collaboratively with church leadership and the congregation. We are looking for more than someone to fill our pulpit.
