Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Pastor to serve as a shared spiritual leader for Methodist and Lutheran congregations. This vital role involves fostering spiritual growth, providing pastoral care, and guiding diverse faith communities through worship, education, and outreach initiatives. Duties Lead worship services, sermons, and religious ceremonies that inspire and uplift congregations from both Methodist and Lutheran traditions. Provide pastoral counseling, spiritual guidance, and bereavement support to individuals and families facing life challenges or terminal illnesses. Develop and teach religious studies classes, Bible studies, and faith-based educational programs for diverse age groups within the community. Offer crisis intervention and conflict management support during emergencies or personal crises, ensuring compassionate care is delivered effectively. Coordinate community outreach events, faith-based programs, and volunteer initiatives that promote unity and service among congregants. Mentor church leaders, lay volunteers, and new members to foster leadership development within the congregation. Engage in public speaking engagements to represent the church at community events, interfaith dialogues, or civic gatherings. Collaborate with church staff on event planning, worship planning, and strategic initiatives that strengthen the shared ministry across denominations. Qualifications Proven experience as a clergyperson with strong leadership skills in a faith-based nonprofit organization or church setting. Extensive knowledge of biblical theology, religious teachings, Christian counseling practices, and pastoral theology. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with culturally diverse communities and multi-faith congregations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver compelling sermons, presentations, and educational content clearly and confidently. Experience in hospice care or terminal illness counseling is highly desirable for providing compassionate support during difficult times. Skilled in crisis management, conflict resolution, mentoring others, and event planning within a faith context. Strong writing skills for preparing sermons, newsletters, reports, or educational materials. Ability to provide spiritual guidance across different age groups while working collaboratively with church staff and volunteers.
