The Oaks Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor of Discipleship and Missions to help lead and expand our discipleship culture, leadership development pathway, and mission engagement. The Oaks is a growing nine-year-old church averaging 450 attendees across two Sunday services, with a vision to plant and revitalize churches throughout the Midwest. As we prepare to launch our first church plant and continue developing future ministry leaders, we are looking for a pastor who is passionate about making disciples, equipping leaders, and mobilizing the church for mission. This pastor will provide leadership and oversight for The Oaks' discipleship strategy, including Missional Community Groups, Oaks Academy, Bible studies, assimilation, and leadership development. The role includes coaching and caring for group leaders, strengthening the church's discipleship pathways, overseeing membership processes, and helping members take next steps in spiritual growth and ministry involvement. The Associate Pastor will also help identify, train, and develop future ministry leaders through internships, apprenticeships, and residency programs.

In addition to discipleship leadership, this position will oversee The Oaks' local, global, and church planting missions efforts. Responsibilities include coordinating mission projects and trips, supporting missionary partners, communicating missions opportunities to the church, and helping advance our vision of planting healthy churches throughout the Midwest and beyond. The ideal candidate will possess graduate-level theological training, a proven ability to develop leaders, experience leading discipleship ministries, and a passion for both healthy church theology and effective ministry multiplication. This full-time pastoral position reports to the Executive Pastor and Board of Elders and includes a competitive compensation package with salary, retirement, health insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and housing allowance eligibility. We are seeking a shepherd who loves people, values theological depth, enjoys developing leaders, and is eager to help build a disciple-making church that sends leaders, missionaries, and church planters for the glory of God. Applicants should meet the biblical qualifications for an elder outlined in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1 and possess a heart for pastoral ministry and church multiplication.
