Full Job Description Job Summary Terms:
Full-Time Non-Exempt Salary, Sunday-Thursday and events, as needed
Salary:
Starting at $47,000 plus benefits, depending on experience
Benefits:
Available after 90 days - Four weeks of PTO annually, two weeks of sabbatical annually, housing allowance and social security offset

Job Overview:
The Youth Pastor oversees all aspects of youth and college-age ministries, including Sunday morning middle school classes and Sunday evenings middle and high school youth groups. This employee should build a healthy youth ministry culture by developing leaders, empowering volunteers, discipling students, and creating systems that allow the ministry to grow beyond the capacity of one individual. This employee partners closely with the Executive Pastor to ensure the youth ministry thrives while continually implementing the mission and vision of the church. This employee should work efficiently, fulfill duties, and maintain high standards of quality, professionalism, and Christian values. This employee should model professionalism, integrity, and leadership consistent with Red Hills Church's mission and values. This role also supports the broader Red Hills community, engages in initiatives, and contributes to a positive, collaborative workplace culture. Key Responsibilities Creating engaging youth gatherings on Sunday nights that consist of games, worship, teaching, and small groups. Teaching and discerning curriculum for Sunday morning middle school class. Organizing and leading youth events, including events, youth camps, mission trips, and fundraising events (i.e., silent auction). Overseeing the youth ministry administratively, including social media, monthly emails, event registrations, website updates, and visits to local schools. Coaching the youth ministry leadership team by creating bi-monthly meet-up events and leader trainings. Overseeing and building curriculum for Youth Discipleship and Leadership Groups and mentoring relationships. Overseeing college-age ministries, including scheduling teams for college-age gatherings, occasional events, and year-long groups. Serving alongside all staff on Sunday mornings and all-church events. Other duties, as assigned. Required Skillsets Strong relational skills with middle school, high school, and college-age students. Ability to teach and communicate biblical truth in an engaging, age-appropriate, and theologically sound way. Ability to recruit, equip, coach, and empower volunteers to serve effectively in youth ministry. Strong organizational and administrative skills, including managing calendars, registrations, communication, events, and ministry details. Ability to lead and facilitate both large-group and small-group environments. Ability to plan and execute youth events, including camps, retreats, mission trips, fundraisers, and special gatherings. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with students, parents, volunteers, and staff. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a ministry team and contribute to the broader mission and vision of Red Hills Church. Ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate initiative, and follow through on responsibilities with minimal supervision. Ability to use technology and social media for ministry communication and engagement. Ability to maintain appropriate professional and personal boundaries, using discretion and sound judgment when working with minors and young adults. Commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive ministry environment for students and families, creating belonging for people of all abilities. Demonstrates Christian maturity, integrity, a non-anxious presence, and emotional health, with a lifestyle consistent with the values and beliefs of Red Hills Church. Agreement with and commitment to the theology, mission, vision, and values of Red Hills Church and the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. Ability to successfully complete required background checks and church safety requirements. Preferred Experience 1-3 years of both middle and high school youth ministry experience. Bachelor's degree in ministry, theology, Christian leadership, education, or related field. Foursquare pastoral license or willingness to pursue Foursquare licensing. Experience developing discipleship pathways for students and leaders, including small groups, mentoring, leadership development, or spiritual formation. Experience developing ministry systems and processes that allow a ministry to grow in a healthy and sustainable way. Experience partnering with parents and families to support the spiritual development of students.
Pay:
From $47,000.00 per year
