SENIOR PASTOR

Koinonia Missionary Baptist Church, Inc. | Memphis, Tennessee Full-Time | In Person Koinonia Missionary Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking an experienced, spiritually mature, and biblically grounded Senior Pastor to provide spiritual leadership to our congregation and help lead the church into its next season of ministry. We seek a servant leader of demonstrated Christian character and integrity who is an effective preacher and teacher, a compassionate pastor, and a capable leader. The successful candidate must be able to provide spiritual vision while working collaboratively within Koinonia's established leadership and governance structure. Pastoral Leadership The Senior Pastor will: Preach and teach the Word of God with biblical soundness, clarity, and practical application. Provide spiritual vision and pastoral leadership to the congregation. Lead and strengthen discipleship, evangelism, Christian education, worship, and ministry development. Provide pastoral care during illness, bereavement, crisis, and other significant life circumstances. Provide spiritual leadership to associate ministers and ministry leaders. Mentor and develop ministers, lay leaders, and future church leaders. Encourage church growth, member engagement, outreach, and meaningful community presence. Promote unity and address conflict with biblical wisdom, maturity, fairness, and compassion. Work collaboratively with church leadership and faithfully operate within the Constitution, Bylaws, policies, and established governance of Koinonia Missionary Baptist Church.

Qualifications Candidates must demonstrate:

A clear calling to pastoral ministry. Proven pastoral and church leadership experience. Strong biblical knowledge and demonstrated excellence in preaching and teaching. Ordination and ministerial credentials consistent with Baptist tradition. A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Theology, Ministry, Divinity, Biblical Studies, Religious Studies, or a related field from an appropriately recognized/accredited institution; graduate theological education is preferred. Experience in pastoral care, spiritual counseling, leadership development, and conflict resolution. Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. Spiritual maturity, humility, integrity, accountability, discretion, and sound judgment. A demonstrated ability to lead collaboratively and develop others.
