Qualifications:

2+ years of experience leading or working in Youth Ministry in a church setting. Preference will be given to those with experience in a large (1,000+), multi-site church. Demonstrate a growing, personal relationship with Jesus and a working knowledge of God's Word. Demonstrate the ability to connect with students and communicate practical, Biblically based messages. Possess strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Demonstrate humility, initiative, and a "whatever it takes" attitude. Support the vision and mission of Parkway Fellowship and work effectively as part of a ministry team.

Responsibilities:

NOTE:

The Associate Youth Pastor works under the direction of the Lead Youth Pastor and assists in carrying out the vision, programs, and ministry priorities of Youth Ministry at the Westpark Location. Youth Ministry & Sunday Services Support the Lead Youth Pastor in implementing the vision of Parkway Fellowship within Youth Ministry. Assist in planning and executing engaging weekly Youth Ministry services and experiences. Teach and communicate Biblically based messages to students as assigned. Build meaningful relationships with middle and high school students, encouraging spiritual growth and discipleship. Help welcome and connect new students and families to Youth Ministry. Small Groups & Discipleship Support the development and growth of middle and high school small groups. Assist in recruiting, training, and encouraging small group leaders. Encourage student participation in small groups and other discipleship opportunities. Maintain accurate attendance and participation records. Volunteer Leadership Recruit, train, schedule, and support Youth Ministry volunteers. Build relationships with volunteers and encourage their continued growth and involvement. Communicate ministry expectations and support volunteers in carrying out their responsibilities. Outreach & Student Engagement Build relationships with students through regular involvement in local schools and community events. Encourage students to invite friends and share their faith. Support outreach efforts that connect new students and families to Parkway Fellowship. Camps, Retreats & Events Assist in planning, organizing, and executing Youth Ministry camps, retreats, mission trips, and special events. Coordinate event logistics, registrations, communications, and volunteer needs as assigned. Help ensure events are organized, safe, and aligned with the goals of Youth Ministry. Operations & Administration Oversee assigned ministry operations, including scheduling, registrations, communications, attendance tracking, and event logistics. Coordinate volunteers and resources to ensure ministry programs and events run effectively. Maintain accurate ministry records and assist with administrative responsibilities. Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and ensure they are completed effectively. Balance direct ministry with students alongside the leadership, planning, administrative, and operational responsibilities necessary for an effective Youth Ministry. General Responsibilities Work collaboratively with the Lead Youth Pastor and Youth Ministry team to carry out ministry priorities. Attend required Parkway Fellowship staff meetings, Youth Ministry events, and team retreats. Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Youth Pastor.
