Job Description

Chaplain Shorehaven | Oconomowoc, WI Full-Time | $75,000-$80,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications Shorehaven is seeking a compassionate and experienced Chaplain to provide spiritual care, pastoral support, and leadership throughout our senior living community. The Chaplain is an important member of Shorehaven's interdisciplinary team, supporting residents and families through all stages of aging. This position provides a ministry of Word and Sacrament, spiritual counseling, prayer, worship, guidance, and compassionate presence while respecting the diverse religious beliefs and spiritual needs of those we serve. What You'll Do
  • Provide pastoral care, spiritual counseling, prayer, and support to residents and families
  • Lead Sunday and seasonal worship services, weekday devotions, Bible studies, and other spiritual programming
  • Visit residents regularly and provide support during hospitalization, hospice care, serious illness, end-of-life care, and other times of spiritual need
  • Serve as a spiritual resource to residents, families, employees, and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Chair Shorehaven's Ethics Committee and provide a pastoral and theological perspective on ethical matters
  • Maintain appropriate pastoral care documentation and resident records
  • Build and maintain relationships with local clergy and faith communities
  • Help residents remain connected to their home congregations whenever possible
  • Participate in organizational planning, committees, and other Shorehaven initiatives
  • Provide on-call pastoral support for resident emergencies as needed What We're Looking For
  • Ordained clergyperson of the Lutheran faith
  • Bachelor's degree and Master of Divinity degree from an accredited seminary
  • Endorsement by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) or Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) for specialized ministry
  • Eligibility for board certification through the Association of Professional Chaplains
  • Ability to provide compassionate spiritual care to older adults of diverse religious beliefs and traditions
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to support residents and families through sensitive and difficult circumstances Why Shorehaven?

Pay:
$75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
