Job Description

As a Residential Advisor - Overnight, you'll support young adults in a Job Corps residential setting from 4:30-8:30 a.m. You will monitor dorms, conduct bed checks, ensure student safety, and respond to emergencies or incidents according to CSD and Job Corps policies. You'll document observations, enforce rules and curfews, and provide guidance that supports students' personal, academic, and vocational goals. Working within CSD's mission-driven, student-centered culture, you'll collaborate with staff to maintain a structured, respectful living environment that promotes accountability, inclusion, and readiness for work and independent living. Responsibilities Monitor residential areas and student well-being during early morning overnight hours Conduct bed checks and ensure adherence to curfew and dorm rules Respond to emergencies and incidents following CSD and Job Corps protocols Document student behavior, incidents, and safety checks accurately Support students with basic guidance and referrals to counseling or support staff Collaborate with instructors and counselors to support student success plans Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful residential environment Participate in training on safety, crisis intervention, and youth development Required Skills Crisis intervention Resident supervision Safety monitoring Incident reporting Basic counseling skills Conflict de-escalation Documentation and recordkeeping Emergency response procedures Youth mentoring Communication skills
