Senior Residential Counselor -
Overnight Shift Location:
Santa Ana, CA (Onsite)
Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours/week (four 10-hour overnight shifts)
Compensation:
$25-$30 per hour, based on relevant experience Required Schedule and Position Requirements This position has a fixed overnight schedule: Wednesday-Saturday, 9:00 PM-7:00 AM Applicants must be available to work all four overnight shifts every week on a regular and ongoing basis. This is not a rotating or flexible schedule. This position is limited to female applicants. Mary's Path serves an exclusively female residential population of pregnant and parenting youth, including survivors of sexual exploitation and trafficking. Due to the direct-care responsibilities, resident privacy, safety, and trauma-informed needs of the population served, being female is a bona fide occupational qualification for this position. About Mary's Path Mary's Path changes lives Two at a Time. We provide safe, trauma-informed housing and care for pregnant and parenting teenage girls in the foster care system, many of whom are survivors of abuse, neglect, or trafficking. Our mission is to break cycles of poverty and trauma and help young mothers reclaim their futures. Position Summary As a Senior Residential Counselor, you'll lead your shift while providing hands-on support to teenage mothers and their children. You'll supervise Residential Counselors, model trauma-informed care, and help maintain a structured and therapeutic home environment. This is a frontline leadership role. You'll work closely with the Residential Staff Manager and Program Manager to support staff accountability, ensure licensing compliance, and help residents and their children thrive. Shift Structure This is a full-time, hourly position scheduled for four 10-hour overnight shifts each week: Wednesday-Saturday, 9:00 PM-7:00 AM Because each shift crosses midnight, the Saturday shift begins Saturday at 9:00 PM and ends Sunday at 7:00 AM. This is a fixed schedule. Applicants must be available for all four scheduled shifts each week. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support Residential Counselors during assigned shifts Ensure safety, structure, and emotional support for teen mothers and their children Provide coaching, feedback, and performance documentation Participate in and support corrective action when needed Maintain shift logs, incident reports, and licensing compliance Support residents with childcare, transportation, and program routines Respond to overnight resident, child, behavioral, and facility needs Partner across shifts to ensure smooth communication and consistency Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree At least one year of full-time experience in a residential care or treatment setting Experience in a lead or supervisory capacity Must meet applicable Title 22 qualifications for the position Must be available Wednesday-Saturday, 9:00 PM-7:00 AM Must be female - a bona fide occupational qualification based on the direct-care responsibilities and population served Preferred Qualifications STRTP experience strongly preferred Bilingual in English and Spanish Familiarity with trauma-informed care and Pro-ACT principles Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and sick time Life insurance Paid training and orientation 403(b) retirement plan Mileage reimbursement for resident transportation Professional development assistance Employee assistance program Opportunities for advancement Mary's Path is a qualifying employer under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program 3% bilingual pay differential available upon successful completion of a Spanish proficiency test after onboarding Important Schedule Requirement This opening is specifically for Wednesday-Saturday, 9:00 PM-7:00 AM .
