Job Description
Senior Residential Counselor
•AM Shift (Full-Time)
Location:
Santa Ana, CA (Onsite)
Schedule:
Full-time, 40 hours/week (four 10-hour shifts)
Compensation:
$25
•30 per hour, commensurate with experience
Available Shifts AM Shift:
Sunday-Wednesday, 6:00am-4:00pm
•1 opening
PM Shift:
Wednesday-Saturday, 12:00pm-10:00pm
•1 opening
Overnight Shift:
Wednesday-Saturday, 9:00pm-7:00am
•1 opening Candidates must be available to work all four scheduled days each week for one of the schedules listed above. Partial availability or availability for only certain days will not meet the requirements of these openings. About Mary's Path Mary's Path changes lives Two at a Time. We provide safe, trauma-informed housing and care for pregnant and parenting teenage girls in the foster care system, many of whom are survivors of abuse, neglect, or trafficking. Our mission is to break cycles of poverty and trauma and help young mothers reclaim their futures. Position Summary As a Senior Residential Counselor, you'll lead your shift while providing hands-on support to teenage mothers and their children. You'll supervise Residential Counselors, model trauma-informed care, and help maintain a structured and therapeutic home environment. This is a frontline leadership role. You'll work closely with the Residential Staff Manager and Program Manager to support staff accountability, ensure licensing compliance, and help residents and their children thrive. Shift Structure This is a full-time, hourly position scheduled for four 10-hour shifts each week. We are recruiting for the following fixed AM schedules: Sunday-Wednesday, 6:00am-4:00pm Wednesday-Saturday, 6:00am-4:00pm Applicants must indicate which schedule they are available to work when applying. Key Responsibilities Supervise and support Residential Counselors during assigned shifts Ensure safety, structure, and emotional support for teen mothers and their children Provide coaching, feedback, and performance documentation Participate in and support corrective action when needed Maintain shift logs, incident reports, and licensing compliance Support residents with childcare, transportation, and program routines Partner across shifts to ensure smooth communication and consistency Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree At least one year of full-time experience in a residential care or treatment setting Experience in a lead or supervisory capacity Must meet all Title 22 qualifications for a supervisory role Must be female, based on the population served Preferred Qualifications STRTP experience strongly preferred Bilingual in English and Spanish Familiarity with trauma-informed care and Pro-ACT principles Benefits Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and sick time Life insurance Paid training and orientation 403(b) retirement plan Mileage reimbursement for resident transportation Professional development assistance Employee assistance program Opportunities for advancement Mary's Path is a qualifying employer under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program 3% bilingual pay differential available upon successful completion of a Spanish proficiency test during onboarding Schedule Requirement These openings are for fixed, full-time AM schedules. Candidates must be available to work all four assigned shifts each week on a regular and ongoing basis.
