Vacaville Village Senior Living is looking for an enthusiastic Engagement Assistant to help create meaningful, enjoyable experiences for the residents of our Assisted Living and Memory Care community. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys connecting with older adults, encouraging participation, helping with activities and events, and making each day a little more engaging. Previous senior living, activities, recreation, caregiving, memory care, or resident engagement experience is a plus, but what matters most is a genuine desire to work with seniors and make a positive difference in their lives. What You'll Do As an Engagement Assistant, you'll help support activities, programs, events, and social experiences designed to encourage connection and participation among our residents.

Responsibilities may include:

Assist with daily resident activities and engagement programs Encourage residents to participate in activities, events, and social opportunities Help lead group and individual activities Spend meaningful one-on-one time engaging with residents Assist with games, arts and crafts, music, celebrations, social events, and other resident programs Help prepare activity areas and supplies before programs Assist with cleanup and organization following activities and events Help decorate and prepare for holidays, celebrations, and special events Support programs appropriate for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents Help create a welcoming and inclusive environment for residents Get to know residents' interests, preferences, hobbies, and abilities Encourage socialization and help residents build connections with others Communicate professionally and compassionately with residents, families, coworkers, and visitors Work collaboratively with the Engagement team and other community departments Assist with community events and special programs Follow community policies and maintain resident privacy and confidentiality Perform other related engagement and activity duties as assigned Who We're Looking For We're looking for someone with energy, patience, compassion, creativity, and a genuine love for working with seniors.
