Job Description

Overview Hartford Job Corps Center is seeking dedicated and reliable Residential Advisors to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, clean, and structured living environment for our residential students and supporting their personal and academic growth.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and support students in the residential program during overnight hours Foster a positive, respectful community that promotes student retention, achievement, and independence Guide students in developing key life skills such as: Waking up and preparing for the day Maintaining personal hygiene and living areas Time management and punctuality for class Completing homework and laundry Engaging in recreational and group activities Use sound judgment and discretion to resolve student concerns and conflicts Maintain detailed case notes and documentation of student interactions and behavior Participate in seasonal cleaning and dormitory updates Serve as a positive role model at all times Duties Monitor residents' safety and well-being throughout the overnight shift, ensuring a secure environment at all times Conduct regular security checks, manual handling, and de-escalation techniques to manage conflicts effectively Provide crisis intervention and behavioral health support to residents experiencing mental health conditions or substance use disorders Assist with intake procedures and documentation for new residents while maintaining resident confidentiality Support residents with daily living activities, including basic needs and personal hygiene, in accordance with care plans Collaborate with social workers and case managers to coordinate services and facilitate resident progress Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office tools for data collection, incident reports, and case management documentation Respond promptly to emergencies by executing first aid or CPR as needed and liaising with emergency responders when necessary Join us in this rewarding role where your energy makes a difference! $20.19 per hour
