City Rescue Mission is seeking a Resident Assistant to help support men participating in our residential recovery and transitional housing programs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys mentoring others, maintaining structure and safety, and serving their community in a Christ-centered environment. Essential ResponsibilitiesResident Supervision & Support Monitor and account for residents at all times, including conducting and documenting regular headcounts. Facilitate daily program schedules and ensure attendance at required activities, classes, groups, meals, and support meetings. Provide encouragement, mentorship, and support while maintaining professional boundaries. Conduct informational meetings and keep residents informed of policies, procedures, and program updates. Promote a safe, healthy, clean, and supportive living environment. Refer residents to appropriate staff for counseling, disciplinary concerns, or additional support. Enforce established schedules, including wake-up calls and lights-out procedures. Transport residents using City Rescue Mission vehicles as needed. Facility Security & Inspections Conduct contraband searches before residents enter living quarters. Inspect resident rooms and common areas to ensure cleanliness and compliance with program standards. Escort residents to meals, activities, and events as needed. Routinely walk the facility perimeter to ensure safety procedures are being followed. Administrative & Housekeeping Duties Maintain accurate records and required documentation. Assist with quality assurance activities related to client care and program services. Organize supply storage areas and distribute linens and other supplies. Monitor the proper care and use of facility equipment and furnishings. Store medications, first-aid supplies, and related items according to policy. Substance Abuse Compliance & Medication Monitoring Conduct random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Department of Corrections and court requirements. Observe and document self-administered medications as directed. Maintain medication logs and related records. QualificationsRequired High school diploma or GED. Availability to work weekends and assigned evening or overnight shifts. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Comfortable working in a residential recovery environment serving an exclusively male population. Preferred Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Residential Assistant, Recovery Support, Shelter, Behavioral Health, or similar role. Knowledge of substance abuse recovery and treatment programs. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations. Valid Florida Driver's License.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, balance, bend, speak, hear, and use hands for routine tasks. Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
Schedule:
24-7 operation. Various Full-time, Part-time and PRN schedules available. 8-hour shifts starting at 7am, 3pm and 11pm. Fixed schedule assigned.
