Job Description
Building Assistant
- Office
- Sappington Elementary
Part-time position, approximately 5.
5 hours/day, 27.5 hours/week
Schedule Monday-Friday, to follow Student Calendar
Hourly rate: $15.34
Non-exempt
Benefits not included
Summary:
Responsible to represent the school building and district in a most positive way to students, staff, parents, and total community. Performs work of a general nature which assists with the smooth operation of the building.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Other duties may be assigned.
Assists administrators, teachers, staff, students, families, parent group, and community as needed
Assists with building dismissal process
Makes and receives telephone calls, takes messages, routes calls. Sends and responds to emails
Distributes mail
Assists with building security in regards to visitors and personnel access including
but not limited to: verifying reason for visit, scanning visitors' driver's license, monitoring radios, monitoring approved parent volunteer list
Maintains paperwork for required safety drills/emergency drills
Supervises students in hallways, offices, and as needed by building
Processes daily attendance for the student population
Provides appropriate first aid needs
Submits work orders for the building as needed
Orders, processes, and maintains office materials and equipment
Attends professional learning as directed
Performs all work in accordance with governmental laws, state mandates, and Lindbergh policies
Provides professional and courteous customer service to all parents, staff, and visitors
