Job Description

Resident Assistant Highland Manor of Elko Rehabilitation is offering a wide variety of services within our full continuum of care campus. We are currently seeking exceptional, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who must have the desire to advance to Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). The Resident Assistant (RA) is a temporary job postion as you advance to a permanent CNA position. Current local pathway is with Great Basin College CNA program. You must be currently registered for a CNA class or be in the process of signing up to be considered as a candidate. We will assist you with the process, and will provide information on how to sign up. We have CNA course tuition reimbursment available to qualified candidates. Resident Assistant is an entry level position, no medical experience is necessary, but is preferred. Must be able to pass a federal and state background check and be at least 18 years old.

Full-time Pay:
$17.00 per hour; $19 an hour once a Nurse Aide in Training (about 2nd week of class), $20 an hour once CNA license is active.
Job Description:
Provide quality assistance to facility residents Participate and assist residents with activities Assist CNA's with resident hydration programs and meal services Answer call lights and assist residents with needs that do not require direct care Assist with the stocking and inventory of clean utility rooms and linen carts Assist with making residents beds; ensuring resident rooms and common areas are orderly Empathy and the ability to assist in caring for the resident's social, emotional, physical and mental health Ability to work in a fast paced environment while paying attention to detail Patience and ability to work in teams to encourage a positive, social environment through regular interaction with our elderly residents Working alongside CNAs, LPNs and RNs Perform other duties as assigned by CNA Coordinator and Nurse Supervisor on duty
