Responsibilities As a Residential Counselor at a Teen Pregnancy Group Home, you will play a crucial role in supporting and guiding young mothers during an important and transformative period in their lives.
Your responsibilities will include:

Emotional Support:
Providing a safe and nurturing environment where residents feel comfortable expressing their feelings and concerns. Offering guidance and support to help them cope with the challenges of pregnancy and motherhood. 2.
Life Skills Development:
Assisting residents in developing essential life skills, such as budgeting, cooking, and parenting, to prepare them for independent living and enhance their overall well-being. 3.
Daily Supervision:
Monitoring the daily activities of residents to ensure a structured and safe environment. This includes facilitating daily routines, meal times, and other scheduled activities. 4.
Conflict Resolution:
Mediating conflicts and fostering positive relationships among residents through effective communication and problem-solving skills. 5. Individualized Care Plans•: Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans that address the specific needs of each resident. 6.
Documentation:
Keeping accurate records of residents' progress and incidents, as well as any significant behavioral or emotional changes, to ensure effective communication within the team. 7.
Promoting Healthy Relationships:
Leading workshops and discussions about healthy relationships, self-esteem, and parenting, helping residents build confidence and decision-making skills. 8.
Transportation:
This position involves the transportation duties of a Residential Counselor working in a Teen Pregnancy Group Home. The responsibilities include ensuring the safe and timely transport of residents to appointments, activities, and other necessary locations. This role is vital in empowering young mothers and creating a supportive community that encourages personal growth and development.
Part-time:
Tuesdays and Fridays 3pm-7pm. Maybe an increase in hours depending on avalibility.
