THE POSITION
Located in beautiful Honesdale, PA, Wayne County Behavioral Health & Intellectual Disabilities agency is looking for a part time Residential Program Worker. This career is where you can make an impact. Are passionate about helping others reach their full potential?
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This role supports individuals who are returning to the community or working to avoid hospitalization. It helps them build confidence, independence, and success in daily living. As a Part-time Residential Program Trainee, you will perform the following duties:
Home Support:
Assist consumers as they work toward independent and safe living
Safety Training:
Teach home safety steps that support daily routines
Observation Sharing:
Provide updates to supervisors and team members regarding consumer behavior and progress
Documentation Tasks:
Record observations, behaviors, and consumer progress in a timely manner
Transportation Assistance:
Drive consumers in a county vehicle to appointments when needed
Facility Coverage:
Work assigned shifts to support round-the-clock availability for consumers in the residence
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Part-time employment Part-time on-call with evenings (overnight) and weekends as part of the schedule. This position requires close contact with the consumer in his/her home environment. Workers in this capacity will work on shifts to assure 24-hour availability in a small facility in which a limited number of seriously mentally ill (SMI) consumers reside, each in their own apartment.

You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
No previous experience and training required.
