In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals and families in need, helping them navigate various social services and resources. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in behavioral health, childcare, and crisis management, with a passion for making a positive impact in the community. Responsibilities Assist clients in accessing social services, including healthcare, housing assistance (such as Section 8), and mental health resources. Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop appropriate service plans. Provide support and guidance in crisis situations, utilizing skills in crisis management and motivational interviewing. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress notes, and service referrals. Mentor and supervise interns or junior staff members as needed. Stay informed about community resources and programs to better assist clients. Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the social services system. Experience Previous experience in social services or related fields is required. Familiarity with behavioral health practices, childcare principles, and child welfare systems is highly desirable. Skills in addiction counseling and mentoring are advantageous for this position. Experience working with Medicare processes is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
