Preparation Help clients get ready for a benefits conversation by confirming appointments, gathering needed information, and making sure useful notes are available before the consultation begins. 2. Follow-up Reconnect when there is a missing item, unanswered routine question, scheduling change, or next step that still needs attention. 3. Organization Keep records current. Update statuses. Document conversations clearly. Make it easy for another team member to understand where the client is in the process. The Benefits Support Coordinator works directly with clients before and after benefits conversations. Clear communication and dependable follow-through are central to the job. You do not need to know every benefits term on day one. The team provides training on the systems, workflow, and handling of routine client questions.
