Miami-Dade County, FL | In-Person Weekend Availability Required About Propelling Into Triumph Propelling Into Triumph (PIT) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting young adults transitioning from foster care into successful, independent adulthood. Through our Saints House Transitional Housing Program , we provide safe and stable housing combined with individualized coaching, mentorship, life-skills development, education and career support, financial literacy, and access to community resources. We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, energetic, and highly responsible Evening & Weekend Success Coach to provide support to residents during the hours when our traditional daytime team is less available. Position Overview The Evening & Weekend Success Coach will work directly with young adults ages 18-23 residing in Saints House. This is a hands-on position designed to provide evening and weekend support, coaching, resident engagement, life-skills development, household oversight, and emergency response across our transitional homes. Schedule The regular schedule will be Wednesday through Sunday .

Wednesday-Friday:

Approximately 6:00 PM-10:00

PM Saturday & Sunday:

Up to 8-hour shifts each day , with some flexibility in scheduling. The employee must also be available to assist with evening and weekend emergencies/on-call situations as assigned. Exact hours and whether the position is structured as part-time or full-time can be discussed based on organizational needs and candidate availability. Key Responsibilities Conduct evening and weekend check-ins at Saints House properties and maintain a consistent staff presence. Build supportive, professional relationships with residents while promoting independence, accountability, and personal growth. Provide individualized coaching related to employment, education, budgeting, household management, communication, time management, decision-making, and other independent living skills. Monitor resident well-being and address concerns that arise during evenings and weekends. Reinforce Saints House program rules, resident contracts, visitor policies, curfews/house expectations when applicable, and community living standards. Document resident interactions, concerns, incidents, progress, and follow-up needs through timely case notes and staff communication. Communicate important concerns to the Program Manager and other members of the resident's support team. Respond appropriately to conflicts, behavioral concerns, household issues, and emergencies while following PIT policies and escalation procedures. Conduct periodic home walk-throughs and help ensure properties remain safe, clean, organized, and respectful shared living environments. Assist residents with practical independent living skills such as grocery planning, meal preparation, cleaning routines, organization, and maintaining their living spaces. Plan and lead hands-on cooking classes and meal-preparation activities that teach residents how to prepare affordable, healthy, practical meals independently. Coordinate weekend activities, life-skills workshops, resident meetings, community outings, and positive engagement opportunities. Help residents identify resources and communicate needs to their assigned Life/Success Coach and Program Manager. Provide transportation or accompany residents to approved activities when required by the organization. Maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries at all times. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, case reviews, and supervision as scheduled. Cooking & Life-Skills Component Cooking experience is required for this position. Candidates do not need to be professional chefs; however, they must be comfortable independently preparing meals and teaching basic cooking skills. The Success Coach will lead interactive cooking sessions that may include meal planning, grocery budgeting, food safety, kitchen cleanliness, basic cooking techniques, healthy food choices, and preparing simple meals residents can recreate independently. Qualifications Candidates should have experience working with young adults, foster youth, transitional-age youth, housing programs, social services, case management, mentoring, behavioral health, education, or another related human-services field . A bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, human services, education, nonprofit management, or a related field is preferred, but relevant professional and lived experience will also be considered. Applicants must have strong communication and relationship-building skills, sound judgment during challenging situations, excellent documentation and organizational skills, and the ability to balance compassion with accountability. Candidates must be comfortable working independently during evening/weekend hours and responding calmly to unexpected situations. Weekend availability is required. Applicants should also have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and appropriate automobile insurance if driving is required for the position, and the ability to successfully complete all required background screening. You should be approachable enough that a resident feels comfortable coming to you when something is wrong, but confident enough to address concerns, reinforce expectations, and hold residents accountable. The right person will be patient, resourceful, dependable, culturally responsive, solution-oriented, and passionate about helping young adults develop the skills they need to thrive after foster care. Most importantly, we want someone who understands that sometimes the most meaningful coaching happens outside traditional business hours— over dinner, during a difficult evening, while learning how to cook a first meal, or when a young adult simply needs a trusted adult to help them work through a problem.
