Duties Plan, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities, events, and programs tailored to residents' interests and abilities Build strong rapport with residents through personalized engagement and attentive communication Assist in developing new programs that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and physical activity Collaborate with nursing staff and other team members to ensure activities align with residents' care plans and special needs such as dementia or Alzheimer's care Manage scheduling of resident events, ensuring smooth execution and participant enjoyment Maintain accurate documentation of resident participation and activity outcomes Support residents in participating in activities by providing encouragement and assistance as needed Requirements Proven experience in assisted living or long-term care environments, especially with seniors or individuals with disabilities Knowledge of recreational therapy techniques, memory care strategies, and dementia care best practices Strong event planning skills with the ability to develop engaging programs for diverse populations Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with residents, families, and team members Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools for documentation and scheduling purposes Ability to work collaboratively within a team leadership capacity when needed Compassionate approach to caregiving with a focus on resident rapport building and aging issues counseling Join us in creating joyful experiences that enrich lives!
